🏅 Badges for the Startup Directory

Add small badges with icons to each startup card in the directory. Each badge shows a fact we have checked, and visitors can filter the directory by badge.

Badges

• ✅ Verified by ABB: website, founders and contact confirmed by our team
• 🏷 Startup Label: official label confirmed
• 💰 Funded: funding round confirmed (seed, Series A…)
• 🚀 Rising: fastest progress or most viewed this month
• 🏆 Award winner: won a recognised competition
• 🎓 Incubated: supported by an incubator listed on ABB
• 🌍 Goes global: has customers outside Algeria
• 👩‍💼 Women-led: led or co-founded by a woman
• 📍 Beyond Algiers: based in another wilaya
• 🤝 ABB Member: active member of the community

Why it’s a nice to have

• Trust: investors and partners see right away what has been checked.
• Motivation: startups complete their profile and send proof to earn badges.
• Discovery: visitors filter by what they need, like funded, women-led or outside Algiers.
• Fairness: real traction is rewarded, not just the best description.

How it would work
Badges come from the directory data or after a startup sends proof. The ABB team reviews them every 6 months, and a badge is removed if its proof expires.
